Frequently Asked Questions

  • You can apply for scholarships as soon as you have submitted your application for admission, until the start date of your program. Note that your scholarship application will not be evaluated until you are admitted into the master’s program of your choice.

  • You can apply for and be considered for up to three scholarships. Scholarships are not combinable, so in the case that the Scholarship Committee considers you a good fit for more than one scholarship, you will only be offered the scholarship of highest value.

  • It usually takes about one to three weeks to receive the resolution once you have submitted the scholarship application and been admitted into the program.

  • No. If you are granted a scholarship, the amount will be applied to your outstanding tuition fees and cannot be used to pay the place reservation fee (with the exception of some full scholarships offered through partnering organizations and generous donors, which can cover up to 100% of tuition and living costs).

  • All scholarships that require an application are a combination of need- and merit-based. There are also merit-based direct awards that do not require an application. All candidates are automatically considered for merit-based direct awards during the admissions process.

  • You will be required to submit a short essay and to attach financial documentation, such as your last three pay slips and your most recent income tax declaration (in English or in Spanish). Keep in mind that, if you are not working, your parents or tutors will be required to submit their respective financial documentation.

  • You should include details about your financial situation, how you plan to cover all costs associated with the program and describe why you consider yourself a standout candidate for the specific scholarships to which you are applying. Note that some partner scholarships require a special essay, the details of which can be found in the scholarship description 

  • No, scholarships are not transferrable. You will be required to submit a new scholarship application for the new program and/or intake.

  • If you are in the admissions process for two programs, you can associate your scholarship application to both programs in the online scholarship platform. That way, you can be evaluated for both programs at once (in the case that you are offered admission for both programs).

  • The deadline to apply for most of our scholarships is the start date of the program, unless otherwise specified in the scholarship description. Funds are allocated on a rolling basis, so candidates are encouraged to submit at their earliest convenience.

  • If you have been offered a scholarship, it’s important to formally reserve your place in the program by the established deadline to secure it, if you haven’t done so already. If you are unsure how to reserve your place in the program, contact your admissions advisor.

  • The Scholarship Committee cannot newly revise your application unless you are able to demonstrate significant and unexpected changes to your financial situation. The deadline to demonstrate these changes is the program start date. We also encourage you to look into alternatives, such as loans or flexible payment plan options (available for most programs).

  • Yes, you can submit a scholarship. Should you be granted a scholarship, the percentage will be applied to the remaining tuition balance. Keep in mind that the maximum coverage (award and scholarship combined) is 40% (with some exceptions for partner scholarships and programs).​

  • Most of our scholarships offer partial coverage of tuition fees. There are some full scholarship opportunities available for specific programs offered through partnering organizations and generous donors, which can cover up to 100% of tuition and living costs, the details of these scholarships can be found here.

  • Scholarships are automatically cancelled when a candidate does not reserve their place by the specified deadline so that the funds can be re-allocated to other candidates. If you do not reserve your place in the program by the deadline, you may be required to reapply for scholarships.

  • You can submit a scholarship application, but keep in mind that direct award percentages are typically higher than most of the scholarships that are available through application (except for some scholarships available through partners). Since awards are not combinable, you will only be offered the award of highest value.

  • Living costs vary between Madrid and Segovia, and on the type of residence or apartment that you choose. You can find more information on the Student Services website. 

  • Our tuition payment plans allow you to break down your tuition balance into several consecutive uniform monthly payments, rather than paying all at once. Our plans are interest-free, and do not require pre-approval or credit check. A one-time non-refundable administrative fee of 400€ is only charged when tuition payments are spread out over more than three consecutive months. Keep in mind that place reservation payments cannot be made in installments.

  • We do not offer a waiver of the application fee.
