PARENTS EDGE EXPERIENCE

The IE Parents Edge Experience is more than a set of talks - it is a transformational journey designed for the globally engaged parent.

Blending expert insights, interactive workshops, reflection, connection, cultural immersion, and future-facing education, this short program positions parents as key partners in their child's growth and global success.

The program always runs during the last three days of your teenager's summer program at IE University, thus creating a memorable joint culmination point.

Exclusively offered to parents & relatives of students enrolled in the IE Summer School's University Programs. Due to limited seats to maintain exclusivity, early enrollment is strongly advised.

This is a rare opportunity to step into your teen’s world and rediscover your own. Hosted in parallel with IE’s Pre-University Summer Program, this unique 3-day journey blends expert insight, cultural immersion, and personal reflection, giving you time to grow, connect, and gain clarity on the road ahead.

Parents Edge Experience– Program Highlights

CULTURAL AND CULINARY IMMERSION EXPERIENCES

Apart from absorbing cutting-edge insights within a dynamic classroom setting, we offer you a taste of highly curated cultural and culinary immersions into Madrid's treasures: 

  • Wednesday late afternoon
    • Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum.
    • Private guided museum experience reflecting on identity and parenthood through art.

  • Wednesday evening

    • Flamenco Show.
    • Top-rated show with dancers, singers, guitarists in authentic Spanish 'taberna' setting including a variety of gastronomic traditional Spanish tapas.

  • Thursday afternoon/evening

    • Cooking Class.
    • Participate in an exclusive cooking class to discover the unique flavors of Spanish cuisine in an emblematic venue.

        • No, it's included during the welcome reception, the flamenco show, mid-morning breakfast coffee, the culinary experience at a cooking school and the final graduation cocktail. For lunch on Thursday, you can explore on your own more than 20 options at Caleido just outside the IE Tower.

        • Yes. A second parent or relative from the same family may attend.

        • Yes.

        • It's two full days of content spread over three (natural) days.

        • Around 20 parents per edition.

        • Yes, we will host a session with members of our admissions team that will help you navigate IE University’s process.

        • No, this is a highly interactive experience featuring workshops, guided reflection, peer discussion and small group activities designed to encourage meaningful engagement.

        • No, if you have prior commitments and need to miss one of the sessions, you must simply inform the team ahead of time.

        • No, the program includes our classroom and cultural experiences.
