Dr. Patrick Cotting is – besides investing about 20% of his time for lectures and research at different Universities – Chairman and CEO of CCI Cotting Consulting Ltd. and CCI Media.
He consults profit-oriented companies and NGO’s on the development and evaluation of Partnership, Sponsorship, Media and Brand Experience strategies and runs research projects in the fields of CSR, CSV, Reputation Management, Media Equity Analysis, Advertising and Branding. Swatch: Development of the Swatch SnowPark / Shoot my Ride concept (2008-2013), winner of the Swiss Sponsorship Award 2012.
UEFA EURO 2008: Responsible as Head Finance / Sponsorship for the activities in the Host City Basel.

Cotting has been working prior to CCI at Kraft Foods (Kraft Jacobs Suchard today Mondelez, 1991-93), Johnson & Johnson Medical (1995-96), Credit Suisse (1996-99, Head Planning & Control, Sponsoring Services), Credit Suisse e-Investment Services Europe (1999-2001, Vice President Marketing Alliances & Sponsorships) and Eurosport as Director Accounts & Marketing for Central Europe (Zurich/Paris, 2001-08).
Visiting Professor at IE since 2010. Faculty Member at the Executive Master of Science in Communications Management (EMScom) at USI Lugano since 1999. Member of the Faculty of Economics at USI from 2008-2014. Member of the Faculty of Communication Sciences at USI since 2006. Ph.D. dissertation on Development of a new sponsorship theory as well as the Sponsorship Scorecard, an approach for the strategic planning and control of effective and efficient sponsorship & experiental marketing activities. Masters in Business Administration from the University of Fribourg/ Switzerland (lic.rer.pol.) in 1994.
