Daniel (D.J.) Flynn is Associate Professor of Political Science and Faculty Affiliate in the Global Policy Center at IE University. His research uses quantitative methods to study the causes and consequences of misinformation about politics and public health. Recently published and ongoing projects in this area examine how misinformation affects democratic attitudes, the role of populism in spreading misinformation, and the effectiveness of digital literacy curricula. Before coming to IE, Flynn was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Program in Quantitative Social Science at Dartmouth College and received his PhD in political science from Northwestern University. Professor Flynn teaches courses on public opinion, political communication, and quantitative methods.
