ADMISSIONS FAQ’S

  • Summer programs can make your application stand out. They highlight your motivation, curiosity, and readiness for university-level learning, giving you valuable experiences that strengthen your academic profile.

  • The IE Summer School is open to everyone — from high school students aged 15–17, to current undergraduate students and young professional. Each program is designed to suit a specific age group and academic stage.

  • No prior experience is required. Our programs welcome students from all academic backgrounds who are curious, motivated, and eager to learn in an international environment.

  • Yes. All programs are taught entirely in English, so a good command of the language is essential. You do not need to speak Spanish to participate.

  • All applicants must complete the online application and record the Kira video assessment, which allows us to get to know you better and understand your motivations for joining the program.

  • No, scholarships or financial aid are not offered for the IE Summer School programs.

  • Some university-level programs may grant 3 ECTS credits upon successful completion. However, these credits are only valid if recognized by your home university.

  • If you are a non-EU student, you may need to apply for a short-term Schengen visa, depending on your country of origin.

  • Yes. Participants are welcome to apply again to any of our Summer Programs, as long as they meet the age and eligibility requirements for that program.

THE ADMISSIONS PROCESS

Our admissions process is simple and transparent, allowing you to focus on what truly matters—showing us your motivation, curiosity, and potential. Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to apply early to secure your place in this unforgettable summer experience at IE University.

1. Online Application

You will need to complete the online application with the following documents: 

  1. Academic transcripts.  
  2. CV (cv template).
  3. Video Assessment: in this section you will complete two live video questions on general knowledge topics.

*You must complete all sections of the application in order to submit it.

2. Submit your Application

Once you complete all sections you may submit your online application to be evaluated by our team.

3. Admissions Final Decision

Within 2 weeks of submitting, the Summer School Team will contact you with the final resolution of your Admissions process. Should it be positive, you will be guided through the next steps for your enrollment.
