Why a contribution
As part of your enrollment to IE University, we ask that you make a one-time contribution to IE Foundation, a non-profit organization that works to enhance IE University’s impact across the IE Community. Your contribution allows IE Foundation to continue and expand its efforts to eliminate economic barriers to education through diverse scholarship programs and to support knowledge creation that adds value not only to the IE community, but to society as a whole.
Since its creation in 1997, IE Foundation has been actively promoting IE University’s values of entrepreneurship, innovation, diversity and inclusion with a special emphasis on the humanities, a fundamental pillar of IE University’s vision and approach to higher education.
What we do
Over the last five academic years, IE Foundation has empowered more than 5700 bachelor and master students from 126 countries through scholarship programs. This last academic year, more than 50% of the total scholarship amount awarded for IE programs went to women.
IE Foundation also supported thirty-one cross-disciplinary research initiatives in 2019 through the work of its Centers of Excellence, Chairs and Observatories, while contributing to multiple initiatives and events such as TEDxIEMadrid, South Summit or EnlightED, an event centered on education technology.
Furthermore, every year IE Foundation allocates funding to the IE Library, dedicated to providing informational services to IE University students and the IE community at large.
Your contribution to IE Foundation in the amount of 1.200€ will need to be made during the enrollment process of your first year of studies at IE University. This is a one-time contribution made at the beginning of your IE journey. Your contribution can be made either by credit card through the link to the payment platform you received during the enrollment process, or by bank transfer to the account below:
Fundación Instituto de Empresa
Banco Santander. Plaza Manuel Gómez Moreno, 2. CP 28020. Madrid

FAQ ABOUT INFORMATION ON SPECIFIC FEES OF THE ADMISSION PROCESS
What is the admission fee?
It is the €120 fee which allows our candidates to begin the admission process. Although you can begin the admission process for IE University by filling in our online application, payment of the admission fee gives you the right to take the admission test and to have your profile assessed by the Admissions Committee. Due to its nature, this fee cannot be refunded under any circumstances.
What is the place reservation fee?
The place reservation fee is an advance payment of €2,000 on the tuition fees whereby a candidate who has already been admitted to IE University reserves a place in one of the groups on the undergraduate program for which they have been accepted. Although the student will have to complete the administrative side of the enrollment process at the university’s General Secretariat at a later date, once they have reserved their place they are already enrolled in practical terms and are considered students of the university. Once the group is full and has been closed, candidates who have been accepted and have reserved their place are included in the official list of students enrolled on that undergraduate program.
What does the student have to pay after the place reservation fee?
The place reservation fee is deducted from the cost of the tuition fees. From a financial perspective, it is an advance payment on the cost of the tuition fees, not an additional amount. What then remains to be paid, therefore, are the remaining tuition fees up to the total amount for the undergraduate program the student has enrolled on. If the student has been awarded a scholarship of any kind, this is also deducted.
When do I have to pay the place reservation fee?
The place reservation fee must be paid on receipt of the letter from the Admissions Department confirming the student has been accepted onto the program.
In accordance with IE University’s higher education model, we have small class groups in order to give students individual attention. This means that places are limited, so it is important you reserve your place before we close the classes and groups for your undergraduate program.
When do I have to pay the tuition fees?
The full payment or the part (depending on the method of payment chosen) should always be made by October 2nd of the academic year for which the student has enrolled.
