Know moreFAQ ABOUT INFORMATION ON SPECIFIC FEES OF THE ADMISSION PROCESS
What is the admission fee?
It is the €120 fee which allows our candidates to begin the admission process. Although you can begin the admission process for IE University by filling in our online application, payment of the admission fee gives you the right to take the admission test and to have your profile assessed by the Admissions Committee. Due to its nature, this fee cannot be refunded under any circumstances.
What is the place reservation fee?
The place reservation fee is an advance payment of €2,000 on the tuition fees whereby a candidate who has already been admitted to IE University reserves a place in one of the groups on the undergraduate program for which they have been accepted. Although the student will have to complete the administrative side of the enrollment process at the university’s General Secretariat at a later date, once they have reserved their place they are already enrolled in practical terms and are considered students of the university. Once the group is full and has been closed, candidates who have been accepted and have reserved their place are included in the official list of students enrolled on that undergraduate program.
What does the student have to pay after the place reservation fee?
The place reservation fee is deducted from the cost of the tuition fees. From a financial perspective, it is an advance payment on the cost of the tuition fees, not an additional amount. What then remains to be paid, therefore, are the remaining tuition fees up to the total amount for the undergraduate program the student has enrolled on. If the student has been awarded a scholarship of any kind, this is also deducted.
When do I have to pay the place reservation fee?
The place reservation fee must be paid on receipt of the letter from the Admissions Department confirming the student has been accepted onto the program.
In accordance with IE University’s higher education model, we have small class groups in order to give students individual attention. This means that places are limited, so it is important you reserve your place before we close the classes and groups for your undergraduate program.
When do I have to pay the tuition fees?
The full payment or the part (depending on the method of payment chosen) should always be made by October 2nd of the academic year for which the student has enrolled.
