Daniel Jaquez
I was born in Puerto Ordaz, a beautiful city in Venezuela. I’m passionate, dedicated and humble, and I enjoy public speaking and engaging with others. I’ve worked with several legal NGOs, which have helped broaden my perspectives while also allowing me to provide support and assistance to those who need it most. These experiences have reaffirmed my commitment to the well-being of society.
"IE Law School is the best option for a well-rounded education, not just in terms of academic excellence, but also in highly sought-after skills like negotiation, communication, project management, personal branding and teamwork."
Standout skills in the global legal world
Originally from Venezuela, Daniel Jaquez always knew that law was his true calling. After obtaining a dual degree in law & political science and public administration at the Autonomous University of Madrid, Daniel decided to pursue a Doble Máster en Abogacía y Procura + Asesoría Jurídica de Empresas Bilingüe (LL.M.) at IE Law School.
However, choosing IE Law School was no coincidence. During the final years of his undergraduate studies, Daniel started looking into universities where he could earn a master’s degree to complement his education. No matter who he consulted, everyone agreed that IE Law School was the best option. Among all these opinions, the one that swayed him most was from a partner at the firm where he was interning. His daughter had completed a program at IE Law School and couldn’t stop raving about it.
Exploring his options, Daniel soon realized that the academic contents of the Doble Máster en Abogacía y Procura + Asesoría Jurídica de Empresas Bilingüe (LL.M.) made it a truly unique qualification. He was also really impressed by the institution’s commitment to diversity and the exceptional quality of the faculty—both serving as key factors in his decision.
Daniel’s parents were aware of the prestige of IE Law School and fully supported his choice. They say that “the school offers incredibly valuable professional opportunities, both nationally and internationally. Its excellent reputation and global connections open doors in several jurisdictions and sectors, whether you want to continue your career in Spain or if you want to do it in the US or the UK, thanks to the agreement with BARBRI.”
Today, just a few months away from completing the program, Daniel is extremely satisfied with his decision. One of the aspects he finds most remarkable is the accessibility and commitment of the faculty: “The professors are always available to chat and help clear up any doubts. They are also very supportive of your professional journey.”
Daniel also emphasizes the support he has received in his job search, from access to the institution’s contacts to interview preparation sessions and selection processes.
As well as making the most of his academic training, Daniel is thoroughly enjoying the IE Experience and the camaraderie and connections formed among classmates. “We have played football, gone out to dinner and taken part in workshops, seminars and other activities where I have met wonderful people and formed lasting bonds,” he explains.
For those who are considering enrolling in the program, Daniel recommends not thinking twice: “If you are looking to stand out in your professional field, IE University is the best choice for a holistic education. Not only in terms of academic excellence, but also in skills that are in high demand today, such as negotiation, communication, project management, personal branding and teamwork.”
Daniel’s parents confirm this recommendation and emphasize the well-rounded quality of an education that “focuses on more than academic excellence, which alone isn’t enough in today’s world.” In their opinion, in the field of law, it’s essential to stay up to date on new trends, especially with the emergence of new technologies. They also highlight the importance of developing skills like adaptability and teamwork, as well as having a solid network of contacts. “Daniel is very happy, and so are we,” they conclude.
