EUROPEAN HUMAN RIGHTS MOOT COURT COMPETITION
The European Human Rights Moot Court Competition (EHRMCC) was created to give law students across Europe the chance to engage in practical, high-level simulations of human rights litigation. Since its inception, it has challenged participants to draft detailed submissions and argue complex cases before international judges, becoming one of the most prestigious competitions in the field.
At IE Law School, the EHRMCC is a cornerstone of experiential learning. Our students not only compete on this elite international stage but also develop key legal skills, including research, advocacy, and strategic analysis, while applying their knowledge to real-world human rights issues. PHILIP C. JESSUP INTERNATIONAL LAW MOOT COURT COMPETITION
The Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition is the world’s largest and most prestigious competition in public international law. Since its creation, it has challenged law students globally to research, draft, and argue complex legal cases before panels of distinguished international judges. The competition fosters rigorous analytical thinking, advanced advocacy skills, and a deep understanding of international legal frameworks.
At IE Law School, participation in Jessup is a cornerstone of experiential learning. Our students not only represent the school on this elite international stage but also develop essential skills in legal research, written and oral advocacy, and strategic case analysis. EUROPEAN LAW MOOT COURT COMPETITION
The European Law Moot Court Competition offers students a practical simulation of litigation before the European Court of Justice (ECJ). Participants analyze hypothetical EU law cases, draft submissions for both applicant and respondent positions, and present oral arguments to panels of judges, practitioners, and academics. Since its creation, it has become one of Europe’s most prestigious moot courts in EU law.
At IE Law School, students competing in the Europa Moot gain hands-on experience in EU law, legal research, and oral advocacy, while working in high-pressure, team-based environments. Participation strengthens analytical skills, global perspectives, and prepares students for careers in EU institutions, law firms, and international organizations.
LAW WITHOUT WALLS (LWOW)
LawWithoutWalls (LWOW) is a global experiential learning initiative that brings together students, legal professionals, and industry leaders to address real-world challenges at the intersection of law, business, and technology. Through intensive collaboration and innovation-driven methodologies, participants develop creative problem-solving, leadership, and cross-cultural teamwork skills essential for the future of legal practice.
At IE Law School, LWOW reflects our commitment to forward-thinking legal education. MOOT MADRID
The Moot Madrid – Competición Internacional de Arbitraje y Derecho Mercantil is an international arbitration competition built around a complex hypothetical case in the field of international commercial law. The competition challenges students to analyze sophisticated issues related to Uniform International Commercial Law and resolve them through International Commercial Arbitration. Participants draft detailed written submissions and present oral arguments before panels of experienced arbitrators and practitioners.
At IE Law School, participation in Moot Madrid offers students the opportunity to deepen their expertise in international commercial arbitration within a Spanish-speaking legal context. Competing in this prestigious forum strengthens their skills in legal drafting, procedural strategy, and oral advocacy, while preparing them to navigate complex cross-border disputes in global legal and business environments.
SPORTS ARBITRATION MOOT COURT COMPETITION
The Sports Arbitration Moot (SAM) is an international competition dedicated to the study and practice of sports arbitration. Focused on disputes resolved before the Court of Arbitration for Sport, the moot challenges students to analyze complex issues in sports law and international arbitration, draft written submissions, and present oral arguments before panels of experienced practitioners and arbitrators.
At IE Law School, participation in the Sports Arbitration Moot represents a unique opportunity for students to specialize in a rapidly growing and highly international field of law. Competing in SAM strengthens their expertise in arbitration strategy, written and oral advocacy, and procedural analysis, while exposing them to the dynamics of high-stakes sports disputes.
WILLEM C. VIS INTERNATIONAL COMMERCIAL MOOT COURT COMPETITION
The Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot is a world-leading international arbitration and commercial law competition built around a challenging hypothetical dispute arising from a cross-border sale of goods. The competition tests students’ abilities to interpret uniform rules of international commercial law and resolve complex legal and procedural issues through simulated international arbitration. Participants present oral arguments before panels of experienced arbitrators, legal practitioners, and academics.
