Professor Aguilar is Legal Director in the Employment Law Department of the global law firm Eversheds Sutherland Nicea since 2013. Before he joined Eversheds Sutherland Nicea, he worked for Uría Menéndez for 8 years.

Professor Aguilar’s professional practice covers all aspects of employment law and, in particular, the hiring of top managers, termination of contracts (including collective redundancies), prevention of occupational risks, health and safety in the construction sector, advice on work-related accidents, collective bargaining, the employment aspects of corporate transactions (including transfer of undertakings) and due diligence processes.

Likewise, Professor Aguilar provides advice to multinational companies on business restructurings and implementation of employment measures. Professor Aguilar regularly manages all phases of litigation and represents clients in employment cases before the Employment Courts and Tribunals in Spain.

Professor Aguilar is associate professor of Labour Law at IE University since 2012.
