Opening of the 20th Edition of the Executive LL.M. by IE Law School and Northwestern
An international program that bridges law and business for professionals seeking to broaden their global perspective.
On September 8, IE Law School and Northwestern Pritzker School of Law held the opening of the Executive LL.M. 2025-2026 at the Paper Pavilion of IE University. This edition brings together 20 participants from 14 countries, reinforcing the program’s global character in its 20th anniversary year.
During the welcome remarks, Eugenia Castrillón, Vice Dean of Programs at IE Law School, emphasized that the Executive LL.M. is “a global community with a shared vision.” She highlighted the alliance between two leading institutions that, by combining their academic and professional networks, strengthen a unique program where “law is recognized as the common language.”
For his part, Stephen Reed, Professor at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, encouraged students to make the most of the diversity in the classroom, noting that through teaching he also learns a great deal about how corporate law operates in different parts of the world. He concluded by reminding them that it will be an intense year, but “worth it.”
Finally, María Mercedes Blanco, Executive Director of International Programs at IE Law School, invited participants to build personal and professional ties that will make this year a transformative and memorable experience.
