This study examines gender promotion gaps through gender role and gender queuing theories, using nine years of personnel data from a European bank. Findings reveal both supply- and demand-side factors influence promotions, with women less likely to seek or receive promotions. Variations within business units highlight structural barriers affecting mobility.
