Patricia Gabaldón named Vice Dean of Pedagogical Innovation of IE School of Global and Public Affairs
Patricia has an extensive experience in teaching and researching and has been a key member of the School since the inception.
IE University has announced the appointment of Patricia Gabaldón as the new Vice Dean of Pedagogical Innovation of the IE School of Global and Public Affairs. Gabaldón has been a key member of the School since the inception, as faculty member of the first Master launch in the School, the Master in International Relations.
She will lead the IEGPA’s transition to new methodologies for online instruction and develop the capacity for fluid and adaptive combinations of face-to-face classes and virtual training and education.

Gabaldón, who is also the Academic Director of IE’s Bachelor in Economics, received her Ph.D. and her bachelor’s degree in Economics, and joined IE Business School as an assistant professor in 2010. Prior to this, she worked as Director of the Research Office at IE University. She is actively engaged in the development of new cases studies and teaching materials, as well as multimedia cases. She has been honored by students for her teaching and mentorship, in both face-to-face and blended formats.
Professor Gabaldon’s research interests center on gender equality and diversity on corporate governance, and their contribution to business and society. Her publications have appeared in high impact academic journal and she is very much involved in numerous conferences in Europe and the United States. Besides, her research has been frequently referenced out by the media.
“My new role is very much aligned with the rapid pace of innovation at the IE School of Global and Public Affairs including the creation of new programs, new knowledge and new student’s experience, to anticipate and meet the changing needs of students and corporations,” explains Gabaldón in this video.
