Altagracia E. Cuevas-Arthur obtained her Law Degree with honors from PUCMM University (Santo Domingo, DR) in 2008. She obtained her Master of Laws in International Economic Law and Policy (IELPO LL.M.) and her research-oriented Master of Laws (focused on Public International Law), both from the University of Barcelona (UB). Back in DR Altagracia worked for the Dominican State Electric company (CDEEE) and law firms. Between 2010-2018, Altagracia served as the IELPO LL.M. Academic Coordinator at the UB, a world-class program in international trade, competition and investment, where she contributed to the program’s geographical growth, curriculum expansion, career placement of students and the conclusion of agreements. Altagracia has also researched on the international legal framework of trade and investment, coupled with dissemination activities in Peru, Denmark, Russia and South Africa. Altagracia has also lectured on fundamentals of International Economic Law at the UB and on Essentials of WTO Law at Tver, Russia. Between 2018 and 2019, Altagracia worked for International Economics, a specialized consultancy firm in trade matters. In 2019, Altagracia joined IE’s School of Global and Public Affairs as Program Advisor to the new Executive Master in Internationalization and Trade. Altagracia has also served as Judge in the Spanish Rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Competition at Cuatrecasas, and as Panelist in the John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition on WTO law (formerly, the EMC2). She is also Member of the Society of International Economic Law (SIEL) and of the Advisory Board of the WTO Model.
