Pedro Riera

Pedro Riera is an assistant professor at the Department of Social Sciences of the University Carlos III of Madrid since 2015 after having been lecturer at the School of Government and Public Policy of the University of Strathclyde between 2013 and 2015. He completed two BAs in Law and Political Science at the Universitat de Barcelona in 2003, followed by a MA in Social Sciences at the Instituto Juan March in 2007, and a PhD in Political and Social Sciences at the European University Institute in 2013. He has also been a visiting scholar at the University of California San Diego, the New York University, the Sapienza – University of Rome, the Central European University, and the Universidade de Lisboa. His research has been published in Comparative Political Studies, European Journal of Political Research, West European Politics, Political Behavior, and Party Politics, among others.
