The School expands its executive education portfolio with two new programs while consolidating its Public Leadership Executive Program, now in its third edition.

IE University School of Politics, Economics & Global Affairs starts the 2025-2026 academic year with three flagship programs designed to prepare leaders for today’s global uncertainties. The portfolio includes two brand-new initiatives - Anticipatory Leadership: Policy and Strategy for Disruptive Technologies, in collaboration with Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator (GESDA), and Geopolitics and Global Risks,  led by the Global Policy Center together with Financial Times alongside the third edition of the Public Leadership Executive Program.

Public Leadership Executive Program (October 21–31, 2025)

Designed for senior leaders working in public institutions, this program focuses on the realities and pressures of public service today: navigating rigid institutional structures, responding to multidimensional challenges, managing geopolitical tensions, and addressing growing expectations for transparency, efficiency, and integrity.

The program combines online learning with in-person sessions in Madrid. Over the course, participants will explore themes such as positive influence, empowering teams, public value creation, and achieving better results. Particular attention is given to areas that are very relevant in international and cross-sector contexts, including negotiation, intercultural communication, and collaborative approaches to problem-solving.

Anticipatory Leadership: Policy and Strategy for Disruptive Technologies (October 30 to November 7)

In partnership with the Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator (GESDA), this new program is organized around three core modules: understanding today’s world, exploring scientific and technological frontiers, and moving from action to impact through strategic execution.

In addition to classroom sessions, participants will take part in activities held during the GESDA Anticipatory Leadership Week in Madrid. These events provide the opportunity to engage with government officials, business leaders, scientists, and policy experts who are working at the intersection of science, technology, global affairs, and disruptive innovation.

Geopolitics and Global Risks – Strategic insights for leading in uncertain times (October 28–31, 2025)

Led by the IE Global Policy Center and delivered in collaboration with Financial Times, this program strengthens participants’ capacity to anticipate geopolitical disruptions, manage risks, and make informed decisions in an increasingly unpredictable world. Through panel sessions with FT editors, academic experts, and industry leaders, participants gain timely  and insightful insights into today’s geopolitical and economic challenges.

With these three programs, IE School of Politics, Economics and Global Affairs broadens its executive education offering, combining academic excellence, global partnerships, and real-world impact to prepare leaders for the challenges of the future.
