Scholars in dialogue: six conversations on the Middle East
University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, IE School of Politics, Economics and Global Affairs and Sciences Po’s Paris School run a series of webinars on the history, politics, and challenges in the Middle East.
Titled "Scholars in dialogue: six conversations on the modern Middle East," the webinars aim to offer meticulously researched and intellectually challenging insights into Middle Eastern politics, and the broader historical context of the region. This series will feature academics representing diverse disciplines and perspectives, from across the globe.
The first webinar in the series, “Gaza, the key to war and peace in the Middle East,” will take place on April 17 and will offer an overview of the history of Gaza. Daniel Kselman, Vice Dean and professor at the IE School of Politics, Economics and Global Affairs (IE University), will participate as host of this dialogue between Jean-Pierre Filiu, Professor of Middle East Studies Sciences Po (Paris), and Cristina Gallach, Former UN Under-Secretary-General and Former Spanish State-Secretary for Foreign Affairs.
