Meeting and Q&A with Margaritis Schinas, Commissioner for Promoting our European Way of Life

On 30th March we had the pleasure of welcoming Margaritis Schinas at IE University, European Commissioner for Promoting our European Way of Life. During this event, Mr Schinas had a dynamic meeting and Q&A with IE students and professors.

Within the enlightening discussion that arose, subjects such as Europe´s great achievement in deploying coordinated action for the vaccine development against the Sars COVID-19 pandemic was commented on.

Europe´s greatest challenges were touched upon as well by Commissioner Schinas, mentioning the threat that the Union´s energetic dependence poses for the future.

Mr Schinas closed the session with his honest desire of finding a way to create what he considers the most important aspect missing from our current European project: a coordinated migration policy shared by all member states.

Finally, he left IE students with his fierce belief of Europe´s unity and strength against the current aggression Ukraine is undergoing, and he stated the Union´s intention of supporting the defence of the Ukrainian nation indefinitely.
