IE School of Science and Technology Launches New Mentoring Program for Graduate Students
International tech professionals will be paired with Sci-Tech students as mentees.

IE School of Science and Technology launched the new Mentoring Program for Graduate Students aimed at helping students gain a deeper understanding of the tech industry and develop valuable skills to thrive in this dynamic field.

More than 30 experienced professionals from around the world—including California, Tokyo, India and many other places-- specifically from the tech industry will be paired with mentees who will gain personalized guidance.

“This mentoring program exemplifies IE's nature as a global gateway. Students come to IE from all over the world and they find career paths globally as well,” said Ikhlaq Sidhu, Dean of the School of Science and Technology.

The Mentoring Program capitalizes on the School of Science and Technology’s method of breaking silos by bridging the gap between graduate students and the rapidly evolving tech industry. This program is designed to help students explore various facets of technology, understand its impact on different industries and cultivate essential skills required in the digital era.

Another purpose of the program is to tackle the persistent issue of the gender salary gap. This initiative seeks to empower female students by bridging the salary gap and advancing their careers to new heights. Aspiring women professionals will be paired with experienced mentors to expand networking opportunities and address the root causes of the gender gap.

“Through this mentoring network and program, our students have the opportunity to connect and learn about technology & business opportunities from experts/ leaders from around the world,” Sidhu said.
