How long will it take to complete the Master in Financial Technology?

What are the core modules of the Master in Financial Technology?
The program has a six-month core period split over two terms. In the first term, you’ll gain a solid foundation in computing concepts, including programming, data management and computer science. In the second term, you’ll focus on the intersection of technology finance, and business strategy, covering key areas such as solutions development, digital payment technologies, cybersecurity and machine learning for finance.
Are there any elective courses or tracks so that I can tailor the program to what matters to me?
Yes. In the third term, you’ll be able to tailor your learning to align with your career goals. Choose from a diverse list of electives including Advanced Data Visualization, Process Mining & Automation, Spatial Computing for Finance, Islamic FinTech, and many others. You also have the option to choose one of seven concentration tracks: Artificial Intelligence, Innovation in Banking, Virtual Assets, Cybersecurity, Blockchain Services, Cloud Solutions and Quantum Computing.
Is the program practical or theoretical?
The Master in Financial Technology is highly practical. From day one, you’ll engage in hands-on learning and real-world projects, including datathons, venture-building labs and tech bootcamps. The program also builds a strong theoretical foundation, but the focus is on practical, real-world application in collaboration with leading FinTech companies.
What kind of projects will I work on during the program?
You’ll work on real-world, industry-led projects that reflect the pace and complexity of the FinTech sector. In the final term, you’ll put all of your learning into practice with a hands-on capstone project, where you’ll solve a real problem for a company, engage in research, or build your own venture.
What software and tools will I learn to use?
The program is designed to give you hands-on knowledge and skills with the latest software and tools in FinTech. These include GitHub, SQL, Linux, Python and Excel. You’ll also work with technologies related to cloud solutions, cybersecurity, blockchain and AI.
Is the Master in Financial Technology hard?
It's a challenging and intensive program, with a lot packed into its duration. But with so much experiential learning, and dedicated, highly experienced industry professionals on hand to guide you, you'll succeed if you give it everything.
