Paulina Etxeberria Garaigorta

Paulina Etxeberria Garaigorta holds a European PhD in Economics and is a faculty member at IE University, where she teaches Macroeconomics, Economic Growth, and Inequality and Social Justice. Her teaching focuses on presenting students with the main theories, debates, and developments in economic science, encouraging them to apply this knowledge to real-world challenges and to develop independent judgment grounded in both established theory and empirical evidence.

Her research interests include economic growth, innovation and productivity in modern cities, as well as education and human development. She has been a visiting researcher at the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia), the European University Institute (Florence), and the Lynch School of Education and Human Development at Boston College (Boston).

Her work has been published in academic journals and collective volumes, and she has presented at international conferences in Spain, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Hong Kong.
