IE Business School and Angelini Academy Join Forces to Develop Talent Through the Angelini Academy Gateway
The initiative offers 10 scholarships for IE Business School’s International MBA, combined with an internship at Angelini Industries.
IE Business School and Angelini Academy, part of Angelini Industries, have announced ten scholarships for IE Business School’s full-time International MBA combined with an internship within Angelini Industries’ global operations. The Angelini Academy Gateway is designed for young professionals and integrates advanced management education with hands-on corporate exposure across sectors including life sciences and industrial technology. Participants selected through Angelini Academy must complete the IE Business School admissions process to join the International MBA and enjoy a global learning experience with students, faculty, and researchers from 160 countries.
The initiative will begin in July 2026 with an introductory training period at Casa Angelini in Rome, followed by IE Business School’s International MBA program in Madrid, starting in September 2026. Upon completion of the International MBA, participants will undertake a 3–6 month internship with one of Angelini Industries’ operating companies.
"At IE Business School we strive to attract the best talent and connect them with winning industry players. Doing so with Angelini in life sciences and industrial robotics is a unique opportunity for impact-driven MBA candidates," said Lee Newman, Dean of IE Business School. "This collaboration reflects how we prepare leaders at IE: connecting rigorous management education with real-world challenges so participants build the mindset, skills, and confidence to create meaningful impact from day one."
The initiative aims to support the career development of high-potential young professionals interested in sectors such as life sciences and industrial robotics and is designed to be accessible also to those who may not have the financial means to participate, provided they demonstrate the motivation to excel. Angelini Academy will fully fund the training program, including living expenses, for candidates who pass the selection process and have an ISEE-ISPE of less than €50,000. On the other hand, 75% of the training costs will be covered by young people selected with an ISEE-ISPE of more than €50,000.
"Attracting and engaging young talent, together with developing their skills, are crucial aspects for the growth of our Group and this is the reason why we are increasingly committed to supporting them in the development of their professional profiles," observes Sergio Marullo di Condojanni, CEO of Angelini Industries. "Companies must respond to the new needs of an ever-changing work environment with new training models, to be developed in close collaboration with the academic world, capable of combining new frontiers in training, multidisciplinary approaches, and an international vocation."
"The Angelini Academy Gateway aims to bridge the gap between career development and young talent, offering them the opportunity to access a training and business environment in which they can fully express their potential," comments Marco Morbidelli, CEO of Angelini Academy. We partnered with IE Business School because we found in them a shared commitment to supporting talented and motivated young individuals, regardless of their financial means. At Angelini, selected candidates can immediately put their skills into practice through tailored internships that align with both their aspirations and our business needs
"I am proud to contribute to this new phase of Angelini Academy in my role as President and I thank Sergio Marullo di Condojanni and Thea Paola Angelini for the trust they have placed in me," said Professor Andrea Prencipe. "Corporate academies play a crucial role in developing skills and knowledge needed to keep pace with technological innovation. For this reason, they must increasingly open up to international collaboration with the academic and university sector, such as the partnership established with IE University."
