IE University Professor Alberto Frasquet has been named Head of Corporate at HSF for EMEA
Alberto Frasquet, Professor of International M&A at IE’s Master of Laws, has been appointed Head of Corporate for Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF) for Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
Alberto joined HSF in 2009 and became a partner in 2011. Since then, he has acted on a large number of M&A deals for both listed companies and private equity firms, as well as on a range of corporate restructuring, capital markets and private commercial transactions. Throughout his career, he has specialized in advising investment banks, venture capital funds and other financial investors, as well as multinational companies on their corporate and capital market transactions. He has also led international teams in responding to complex local and multijurisdictional matters. He has been recognized by top legal directories such as Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500, and is a professor of M&A and private equity for the Master of Laws (LL.M.) and Máster en Asesoría Jurídica (a Spanish-language master’s in legal advice) at IE Law School.

At the Center of European Studies, a Jean Monnet Center of Excellence, our goal is to innovate and contribute in research, teaching and public debate in the field of European integration.
The CES/IE enjoys the backing of the European Commission (Decision 2009-3241/001-001).The Center organizes academic conferences and seminars coupled with open debate aimed at fostering discussions that are both diverse and informed. The Center serves as a platform for advanced research on European integration. The Center’s fellows are international experts in their areas of specialization.
