A challenging and worthy passion

The state that the world and my country, Mexico, is facing with regards to corruption and other crimes demerit the development and the development of the citizens of the world. I always had in mind that I wanted to do something to improve the world. Due to my profession and the political and social context in my country, I convinced myself that the improvement could come from the private initiative.

Therefore, I decided to study IE´s Master in Global Corporate Compliance. I chose IE Law School because it assured me a global perspective, which meant that I could gain a rich and diverse social and political context that could allow me to implement an ethical culture in organizations. It allowed me to view at same problems through different lenses,  scenarios and different paths to implement the best solutions.

The exchange of experiences, challenges and goals inspires you to go beyond, both at a professional and personal level.

IE has enriched me at different levels. The vast experience of my classmates regarding the development and compliance challenges around the world has been amazing. In addition, the diversity of professionals and professors with different backgrounds and expertise provided me with a unique understanding of the current and complex situation of the market, the challenges, the risks and the opportunities.

At IE you feel that the world comes together in Madrid. The exchange of experiences, challenges and goals inspires you to go beyond, both at a professional and personal level. IE not only allowed me to have a family far away from home, but it also has allowed me to develop and enhance my professional experience in one of the most recognized firms, Eversheds Sutherland.

The internship in Eversheds is an extraordinary opportunity to learn from top-tier lawyers and professionals and is allowing me to develop a career in compliance. I have been working in Eversheds for three weeks and I am absorbing everything, all the knowledge and practice, learning how to work how to advise companies that are committed to integrity. .

There is nothing better in the world than working for something that you feel passionate about, and even better, in a good and compromised work environment. Definitely, I can say that I am passionate about Compliance.
