Director of the Master in Global Corporate Compliance re-selected as member of B20

Maria Hernandez, Director of the Master in Global Corporate Compliance and partner at the firm Eversheds Sutherland, has been selected as a member of the B20 Italy Integrity and Compliance Task Force for 2021

The Business 20 (B20) is the official G20 dialogue forum with the global business community. Established in 2010, reserved to companies and business organisations, it is among the most prominent G20 Engagement Groups. The B20 composes of an average of over 1,000 delegates from the G20 countries, including top executives from the leading multinational corporations. It accounts around 3,000 participants representing an overall business community of over 6.5 million businesses. The B20 is the official channel authorized by the G20 to engage in a dialogue with the business community and the private sector. The main objective of B20 is to support the group by offering recommendations informed by a small number of carefully selected experts from every field (such as economics, law and business).

María Hernández (pictured), who was also a B20 member in the last cycle (Saudi Arabia 2020) has been re-selected for the Italy 2021 B20 cycle for the sixteenth G20 Summit. María is a partner of the Compliance department at Eversheds Sutherland and chairs the Compliance Committee of the Latin American Alliance of Eversheds Sutherland International. She has also been president of the Compliance section of the Madrid Bar Association and vice president of the Association of Regulatory Compliance Professionals (CUMPLEN).

She is the Academic director of the LLM Global Corporate Compliance at our school and professor and director of Corporate Compliance at our Master of Laws (LL.M). María participates as a speaker in Compliance and Ethics in business at international conferences, including the European Annual Conference of the Society of Corporate Compliance & Ethics.
