IE Law School celebrates the graduation of over 250 master’s students
The ceremony, which also included several awards for students and faculty, featured emotional and inspiring moments.
On Friday, July 18, more than 250 master’s students marked the end of their academic journey at IE Law School with an emotional graduation ceremony held at the IE Tower.
The event brought together family members, professors, and friends to celebrate the efforts of graduates from the following programs: Master of Laws (LL.M.), LL.M. in International Legal Studies, Máster en Asesoría Jurídica de Empresas (bilingual and Spanish tracks), Master in Digital and Technology Law, Máster en Asesoría Fiscal de Empresas, and the Doble Máster en Asesoría Jurídica/Fiscal for PwC.
The ceremony was filled with emotional and inspiring moments. Sara Lindgren, Head of Global Alumni Relations at IE University, served as the master of ceremonies. Ricardo Madrazo (LLM-IBL) and Eva María de Castro (MADT) delivered speeches on behalf of their graduating class, while keynote speaker Horacio Gutierrez, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at The Walt Disney Company, encouraged graduates to lead with ethics and global vision.
Soledad Atienza, Dean of IE Law School, urged the graduates to use their talents with purpose: “Apply your knowledge and experience to strengthen democracy, defend the rule of law, build a fairer society, promote entrepreneurship, and guide companies on their path to sustainability. Ultimately, to generate a positive and lasting impact on the world around you.”
Commitment to innovation
This academic year also marked a milestone in the evolution of IE Law School. Recognized as one of the most innovative institutions in the world, IE University launched a strategic initiative with OpenAI this academic year to integrate artificial intelligence tools at scale across the institution. Through this collaboration, students, faculty, researchers, and staff work with ChatGPT Edu to transform education, advance research, enhance the academic experience, and prepare students for the future of work.
