ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Master in Design for Immersive Experiences and XR (MDXR) is a 10-month, full-time, in-person program based in Madrid that prepares students to design interactive, human-centered, and immersive experiences across both physical and digital environments.

Through a hands-on, studio-based methodology, participants explore extended realities (XR), creative coding, real-time graphics, sound and motion design, spatial computing, and AI—building a portfolio that merges storytelling, technology, and design innovation.

This program is designed for early- to mid-career professionals from creative or technical backgrounds who want to expand their practice through emerging technologies and meaningful experience design from the expertise of faculty with backgrounds spanning game design, visual effects (VFX), coding, architecture, and creative technology. With a strong emphasis on experimentation, narrative thinking, and social impact, it fosters future-ready skills, adaptability, and critical reflection. Core pillars include hybrid environments, embodied interaction, play, and inclusive storytelling. The program encourages applications from individuals of all backgrounds, including those from groups historically underrepresented in design and technology, in line with its values of inclusivity and social impact.
