IE and McCann launch new MIM specialization in Integrated Marketing Communications

IE Business School has launched a new specialization in Integrated Marketing Communications within its Master in Management. The new IMC specialization has been developed in close cooperation with McCann Worldgroup.

The IE Master in Management is an international program aimed at students preparing to immediately enter the business world. With students from 56 countries, this program, ranked number 5 worldwide by The Financial Times, trains students in business administration and offers specialization areas in International Business, Digital Business, Marketing & Sales, Financial Management & Control and now Integrated Marketing Communications.

The new integrated marketing study track is designed for students seeking a career in creative, media, relational or experiential agencies; or directly with global marketers; or in the media side of marketing. The program syllabus has been developed in close cooperation with McCann and all IMC specific subjects (IMC Strategic Planning, IMC Account Management, Relational Marketing, Experiential Marketing, Content Creation and Media & Content Distribution) and will have a practical focus, including the analysis of real case studies. Other subjects include: Marketing Strategy, Consumer Insights & Marketing Analytics, Digital, Social & Mobile Marketing, Building Brand Equity, Corporate Communication and IMC Law & Ethics.

The IE Master in Management combines a broad vision on business reality and an international focus. As a result, more than 90% of graduates seeking are employed within three months of graduation. The Master in Management program has two programs per year, starting in September and February respectively, each 10 months long. After core periods of intensive training in accounting, finance, marketing, operations and organizational behavior, students move on to the IMC specialization.The professors for the 3-month long specialization comes both from IE and McCann Worldgroup, with guest lecturers from various McCann Worldgroup subsidiaries. Upon graduation, students will undertake a three-month assignment in one of McCann Worldgroup European offices, where they will be assigned a mentor to supervise their progress and to encourage the development of their leadership abilities.
