On October 4, IE Law School hosted the XLII Competition Law Scholars Forum (CLaSF) Workshop at the IE Tower, centered on Private Antitrust Enforcement: Taking Stock and Looking Ahead. Sponsored by CCS Abogados, the event brought together prominent industry professionals and leading academics for in-depth discussions on key issues in competition law.

CLaSF co-organizers Francisco Marcos, Professor at IE Law School and Academic Counsel at CCS Abogados, and Barry Rodger, Professor at the University of Strathclyde, together with Soledad Atienza, Dean of IE Law School, delivered insightful opening and closing remarks during the event.

CLaSF, which aims to advance the study of competition law across the UK, EU Member States, and aspiring EU countries, holds these workshops annually. This year's edition focused on the collective redress for antitrust damages, highlighting the legal and procedural challenges faced by various jurisdictions, with special attention to Spain and other European countries.

Over the course of the event, 13 academic papers were presented, exploring critical aspects of private enforcement in competition law. Thank you to all who contributed to this dynamic and thought-provoking exchange of ideas.
