World Architecture Festival

This November, IE School of Architecture and Design participated as the knowledge partner of the World Architecture Festival (WAF) in Berlin, a three-day event (16th to 18th Nov) for architects and design professionals.

In the event there were presentations by faculty members of the MDE, Master in Design for Work, Retail and Learning Environments, such as OHLab who won three awards: The Best House in the World Architecture Festival in Berlin, and the INSIDE Awards for Interior Design in two different categories with Puro Hotel and Emardental Clinic.

WAF allowed for networking sessions with the likes of Chistine Murray from The Architectural Review. This month´s issue includes a piece by Dean Martha Thorne: Towards the Light: Tanatorio in Spain by Juan Carlos Salas.

During WAF, there were stimulating presentations on the fluid nature of living in a public and private world by Edgar Gonzalez, Director of the new Bachelor in Design.
