Students will step into the heart of architectural education in our Design Studio. This space was created as a physical and intellectual place for students to come together to experience learning in a new light. Each year will bring something different, which gives students the chance to step out of their comfort zones and into hands-on, collaborative learning.

The Design & Architecture Studios challenges will change in each of your academic years at IE University. Your progress will be evaluated in a midterm review, pushing you to think outside the box and work in unique ways. From creating a space to analyzing construction systems, these Studios help you prepare for the future of architecture.

Every project in the Design & Architecture Studios is designed with you in mind. You will work individually and collaboratively to solve real-world challenges and create ideas that could be put into practice. Learn to work on a team, while also thinking individually to build spaces that matter.

As part of the Design Studio, you will be evaluated by faculty and guest critics. Each member of the evaluation panel is a professional in the field ready to offer you guidance, advice and firsthand knowledge, helping you create projects that are foundationally solid, both figuratively and literally.
