What we offer
From students’ very first year, we give them access to an array of resources to enhance their professional profiles and boost their employability.
One of these resources is our Career Development Training (CDT), an innovative tool that lays the foundation for students’ training for the professional world. Each year, the CDT is adjusted to the profile and objectives of each group of students, since first-year students don’t need the same support as those who are finishing their studies.
There are many other resources we offer our students: Sector-specific Q&As, interview preparation, CV and cover letter revision, and more. All of this support is provided by advisors who are specialized in the different sectors in question, and carefully follow the professional evolution of their students.
Internships
Being a student at IE University gives you access to a wide range of internships—both curricular and extracurricular—thanks to the 3,243 companies we have agreements with. Our students have done internships at organizations such as MAEC, Amazon, JP Morgan, Danone and Cuatrecasas. Seizing this opportunity can be decisive for students’ futures, and they know it: during the 2020/2021 academic year, we signed around 1,600 internship contracts.
YOUNG CORPORATE PROGRAM MADRID
1ST YEAR - COMPANY INSIGHT
The program begins with the pre-selected students making online or in-person contact with the companies, which will provide them an idea of the corporate culture. From these pre-selected students, companies choose the final participants that will continue in the program.
2ND YEAR – MENTORING & SHADOWING
The students will have the opportunity to receive mentorship from company executives.
The shadowing phase of the program involves observing professionals from different departments to discover what day-to-day life is like in the company.
3RD YEAR - INTERNSHIP
This phase will start with a summer internship, and it can be extended to last six months in total. Each internship is tailored to both the business’s needs and the student’s individual talents.
4TH YEAR - FINAL THESIS
At the final stage, students will have the option of writing their final thesis, so long as the proposed project falls within the scope of university-approved topics. If so, students will be supervised by both an IE University professor and an executive from their partner company.
YOUNG CORPORATE PROGRAM SEGOVIA
1ST YEAR - COMPANY INSIGHT
The program begins with the pre-selected students making online or in-person contact with the companies in Segovia. Students will have the opportunity to spend the day at a specific company doing activities.
2ND YEAR – MENTORING & SUMMER INTERNSHIP
The students will have the opportunity to receive virtual mentorship from company executives during the whole year.
The particulars of the summer internship will vary depending on the company and they can take place virtually. Each internship is tailored to both the business’s needs and the student’s individual talents.
Define your own career path
Work experience does not begin only after graduation. IE University students start to receive employment offers even before they’ve finished the program. While many alumni are recruited by major multinational companies, some prefer to join small and mid-sized companies or startups. Others go on to launch their own businesses. Each student can define their own career path based on their interests and goals—thanks to the program’s innovative curriculum, uniquely extensive internship program and practical methodology, no doors will be closed.Learn about our student´s own path to success
