IE University encourages all students to participate in high-quality internships in order to gain real-world experience in their area of choice.
Thanks to IE University’s collaborations with top companies and organizations across a variety of sectors, students have the opportunity to establish professional ties, giving them a competitive edge when it comes to their future employment. While our different programs have unique internship options and requirements, the majority of students complete at least one placement during their degree. In fact, around 80% of our students participate in an internship, gaining valuable international work experience before graduating. Sometimes, their placements may even help them land job positions in top companies.
The type of internship may vary—you may find a position at a company or organization, or carry out research work, or end up collaborating with an IE University professor on a specific project. What’s more, internships provide credits that count towards graduation in some of our programs. The number of credits granted depends on the duration and type of internship.
