The Global College, recognized as an IB World School, will open its doors in September 2022 in Madrid to train pre-university students from all over the world

The Global College (TGC), a new pre-university school located in Madrid and recognized as IB World School, will open its doors in September 2022 with the aim of becoming an educational benchmark in Europe. The center will offer education entirely in English for first- and second-year high school students from all over the world with an entrepreneurial and innovation-oriented profile. TGC has a strategic alliance with IE University through three centers of the institution: the Center for Entrepreneurship, the Center of Learning Innovation, and the Center for Health, Well-being and Happiness.

Over the coming weeks, the admissions team will be selecting students who will form the school’s first graduating class, young people with a brilliant academic profile and social commitment. The first selected students come from 20 countries. TGC will highlight the international, cultural, and socio-economic diversity of its student body, so as to have the greatest impact and enrich the overall learning experience. To achieve this and in an effort to promote the development of exceptionally talented young people, the school has a merit scholarship program that is able to cover up to 100% of tuition fees. 

TGC students will be able to tailor their learning path according to their interests and career plans. To do so, they can choose from more than 20 subjects and will have tutors who will support their academic decisions and choice of university, and advise them on their professional future. TGC works in close contact with leading universities in the United States and Britain, with which it will manage the admissions process for its students.

The Global College is located in the center of Madrid, in the upscale Salamanca district, an urban campus with technology immersion classrooms, laboratories, entrepreneurship hubs, film production rooms, co-working areas, a library, and gardens. The school also has a residence hall for foreign students. These students, who will be taught in English in an international environment, will be able to learning Spanish by taking part in the cultural life of Madrid, a city considered the best in the world in terms of quality of life, health, education, and safety, according to the Global Power City Index 2021, a ranking that evaluates the world’s leading cities.

TGC teachers will have technological platforms, digital resources, synchronous and asynchronous face-to-face and virtual sessions to design their classes at their disposal. In addition, they will be able to use IE University’s liquid learning model, which allows students to connect through screens and audio systems installed in the classrooms, providing  a completely immersive experience, along with academic excellence.

The student admissions process is currently in the profile selection phase for the first graduating class of the 1^st Baccalaureate, which will begin in September 2022. Interested students must have a high level of English, a brilliant academic profile, and will have to undertake a personal interview and an entrance test.
