APPLIED TECHNOLOGY LEARNING

See fundamental concepts applied to real life with a learning methodology that’s connected to the tech world. LEARN THROUGH A PRACTICAL METHODOLOGY

During your time in the program, you will take interactive, practical classes that focus on providing you with the real-world knowledge and hands-on skills you need to successfully build and transform technology. You will tailor your IEU labs, internships, and final project to your own path as a technology expert. You’ll participate in datathons, hackathons, and projects led by tech companies that will help you solve real problems, replicating the workplace right in the classroom. You’ll learn to apply agile technologies and to develop software in teams to develop and implement tech solutions to global challenges.

This program is all about developing an entrepreneurial mindset. AN INTERVIEW WITH DEAN LEE NEWMAN

Lee Newman, Dean of the IE School of Human Sciences and Technology, talks about our new program in Technology and Innovation Management.

Prior to pursuing a career in academia, Dr. Newman served as an Engagement Manager in the Chicago office of McKinsey & Company.  As a consultant, he worked with clients on operations reengineering and organizational performance improvement. His industry experience includes mining, industrial goods and consumer packaged goods. Following his work as a consultant, Dr. Newman founded and served as a senior manager to two technology companies in New York City. In these roles he gained extensive experience in the design and development of interactive technologies, including innovative tools in the area of Human Resources.
