INTERNAL COMMUNICATION

How will faculty members know when they have a student with a disability?

Students will submit a request for accommodations through the Student Portal.
The Special Educational Needs (SEN) office will review the request, then issue a resolution to the student’s academic office.
The academic office will then email the relevant professors to notify them of the resolution and how they should make the appropriate accommodations.

ACCESSIBILITY IN THE SYLLABUS

Our stance on accessibility should be clear from day one. The best way to do so is by:

Including a statement on accessibility and disability on the syllabus
Clearly explaining the statement during the in-class syllabus review
Ensuring that the syllabus itself abides by relevant accessibility standards
