I’m from Colombia, and I have an academic foundation in industrial engineering. I began my career in finance internships before transitioning to a strategic role in revenue management in the airline industry. Later, I moved into account management in the tech sector before taking on operational and product positions at technology companies and startups. At IE University, I aimed to deepen my analytical and data science capabilities as well as enhancing my strategic and leadership skills to navigate complex business challenges with a more holistic approach.

What motivated you to pursue your dual degree at IE University?
I was driven by a desire to combine strong business acumen with cutting-edge technical skills—essential in today’s rapidly evolving professional landscape. IE University’s focus on innovation, data-driven decision-making, and a global perspective made it the perfect environment to be prepared for this new era.
What has been the most valuable part of your experience in the Dual Degree International MBA + Master in Business Analytics & Data Science so far?
The combination of exceptional professors, the depth and breadth of knowledge gained, and the diverse, inspiring people I’ve met along the way. These programs have not only sharpened my professional skills but also contributed significantly to my personal growth. Living in Madrid and being immersed in the international, multicultural environment of IE University has made the journey even more enriching and transformative.
How has the dual degree helped shape your career aspirations or professional path?
It has played a pivotal role in shaping my professional journey. It gave me a strong edge during the consulting interview process and opened doors to a variety of other roles. The level of support from the faculty and career services has been exceptional; they truly invest in helping you explore your options and position yourself for success. Most importantly, the program’s unique blend of technical and business training has significantly broadened my horizons and elevated my value in the job market.
Where do you see yourself professionally in the next five years, and how is the dual degree helping you get there?
In today's world, the fusion of business insight and technological fluency is essential. This dual degree equips me with both, providing a distinct edge in navigating the challenges of the new technological era.
Over the next two years, I’ll be working as a consultant at Bain, gaining hands-on experience across industries. From there, I plan to reassess and explore new opportunities to continue growing and building a career path that’s both meaningful and impactful.
