The case was created specifically for BBA students, tailoring it to the real challenge of international expansion. Students were tasked with addressing aspects such as impact of COVID-19 in the hotel industry, company’s transformation plan for the following 5 years, as well as future opportunities and challenges such as labor shortages and changes in customer preferences.

“I truly believe that experiential learning opportunities like the international case competition are essential for preparing students to thrive in today’s global business environment,” said Henry Bradford, Vice Dean of the Bachelor in Business Administration at IE Business School.

The BBA Business case provided a unique opportunity for young professionals to engage with real-world experiences and network with students from other universities, cultures, and countries. In addition to researching how Radisson navigated through the pandemic and strategizing the company’s growth, participants also took part in activities designed to immerse them in the academic and cultural environment of Madrid.

“Connecting with talented students from all over the globe was an unforgettable experience! I recommend to anyone that has the opportunity to participate in a Business Case competition!” said Marie Pascale Oliger, IE Business School BBA student.

Initiatives such as the BBA Business case serve as perfect examples of activities that IE Business School creates to provide a hands-on application of academic materials to real life. By solving a real case from a company with real data, students gain practical insights and skills.
