Rasmus Christensen is an experienced project manager with a background in investment banking, fintech and impact investing. Christensen’s most recent work has been as a consultant with Projective Group, an innovative business and technology consulting firm in the Netherlands.
Combining his IE Global Online MBA with five years spent as a police officer in Australia, Christensen’s experience provides a unique insight into critical thinking, conflict resolution and evidence-based approaches to change management.

IN WHAT WAYS DO YOU THINK THE GLOBAL ONLINE MBA HAS CHANGED YOUR LIFE, PROFESSIONALLY AND PERSONALLY?
After spending five years as a police officer in Australia, I found the transition back to the corporate world challenging. Potential employers in the private sector did not value the experiences and unique life lessons I had acquired during this time. IE’s Global Online MBA empowered me to complement my experience and skills with knowledge gained from leading academic and industry experts. And lastly, it was my classmates who truly challenged me to discover my strengths and always strive to achieve my goals.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO STUDENTS WHO ARE ABOUT TO BEGIN THE PROGRAM?
Don’t hold back. Challenge your classmates and be ready to be challenged in return. The IE MBA is an environment in which you need to give your all. The mix of cultures, perspectives and experiences is unique, as is the learning environment. Be prepared to open your mind.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY OF THE GLOBAL ONLINE MBA SO FAR?
My favorite memory has to be our final project, Set The Benchmark, for which we had to make a pitch to our classmates and professors, knowing we had given our all (and would continue working on our startup after the MBA!).
WHAT IS NETWORKING LIKE IN THE GLOBAL ONLINE MBA?
Networking is what you make of it, and is certainly something I improved on during the MBA. One of the main reasons for this was the genuine interest I had in my fellow classmates’ inspiring backgrounds and life experiences. What started out as mutually beneficial relationships have now become lifelong friendships.
