IE Business School MBA ranked 13th worldwide by Financial Times

IE Business School’s International MBA holds the No. 13 position worldwide in the 2014 MBA ranking published today by Financial Times.

The result serves to further strengthen IE Business School’s position as an international reference in the field of management education, and is the latest in a raft of achievements in recent weeks, which include being ranked best business school in Europe by Financial Times (December 2013), and  best business school in the world for an Online MBA, by UK organization QS Intelligence Unit (January 2014).

The Financial Times ranking examines 21 indicators related to both the schools and to their graduates. These criteria  include the level of internationalization of the school and its programs, the extent to which students’ expectations are met, salary progression among graduates, the percentage of international faculty and students, the percentage of female professors and students, and levels of research.

Seventy-six percent of the student body of this year’s intake for the IE Business School International MBA comprises international students from 68 countries, making IE one of the most diverse schools in the world. The program equips participants with a global vision of the world of business by means of an interactive learning methodology. During the electives period students have the opportunity to personalize the program through options that include exchange programs, and business or consulting projects.

The IE Business School portfolio of blended programs includes the Executive MBA+ and Global MBA+. These part-time programs integrate the management education provided by an MBA program with modules focused on specializations in the fields of Global Management, Advanced Global Management, Entrepreneurship, Corporate Finance, Marketing and Sales, Information Technology, and Healthcare Management. MBA+ students can do the core MBA program and/or the specialization module in either English or Spanish, in a weekly onsite format and/or bi-weekly blended format. This system is unique to IE and permits students to design their own bespoke MBA+ programs.

IE’s also offers the IE Brown Executive MBA, run jointly with Ivy League member Brown University, renowned for its excellence in the field of humanistic, social and scientific disciplines. Participants in the program have markedly international profiles, and an average of 14 years of professional experience. It combines online modules with residential periods at the campuses of IE in Madrid and Brown in Providence. The portfolio is rounded off with IE Business School’s Global Executive MBA, aimed at executives with an international background. The program is also taught in English, combining onsite modules in Spain, Singapore, US, and Brazil, with online periods. The program’s student body comprises 25 nationalities and participants have an average of 15 years’ experience in management.
