IE Business School welcomes 130 companies to its 13th International Careers Fair

Some 130 firms are taking part this week, October 7 to 11, in the thirteenth edition of IE Business School’s International Careers Fair. Companies and recruiting firms are giving presentations on campus and organizing meetings with over 1,000 students and graduates of IE master programs.

The overriding objective of the Careers Fair is to serve as an interface between IE Business School students and alumni and recruiters seeking managers who can help steer their organizations through expansion processes. Participating companies have an international profile that requires top-level managers for their organizations to meet the demands of expansion and diversification. This year’s participating companies include Abbvie, Abbot, Accenture, Acciona, Amadeus, Banco Popular, Banco Santander, BBVA, Boehringer Ingelheim, Booz & Company, Carrefour, Dell, Deloitte, Ferrovial, KPMG, LG, L’Oréal, MSD, Nestlé, NH Hoteles, Novartis, Pepsico Russia, PwC, Quala and the World Economic Forum.

The Fair also includes a focus on the field of law and tax. This year twenty five law firms will be interviewing students and graduates of the IE Law School Programs from programs like the International LLM, The Master in Tax Law, Master in Legal Practice or the Executive LLM. Said organizations will include Ayuda en Acción, Emzingo Group, Valsain Foundation and Save the Children.

Lorena Martinez, Associate Director of the Career Management Center at IE explained that this year there will be a greater number of company presentations which will give firms the perfect opportunity to see student profiles. Rosalía Rodriguez, Director of Recruiter Relations at IE, commented that hiring practices have changed. “A good CV with an excellent education and experience is no longer enough. Personal factors, the candidate’s skills and competences, are playing an increasingly important role in the selection process.”
