IE Business School’s Kriti Jain Featured on Thinkers50 Radar
Thinkers50 List Recognizes Up-and-Coming Management Gurus.

IE Business School is pleased to announce that Kriti Jain, Assistant Professor in the Organizational Behavior and Human Resources area, is included on the 2018 Radar list from Thinkers50.  Produced annually, the Thinker50 Radar features the top 30 emerging thinkers with the potential to make lasting contributions to management theory and practice.

Jain has a unique inter-disciplinary background in decision-making, risk management, judgements and biases, leadership, and people management. She has a PhD in Decision Sciences from INSEAD and worked with McKinsey & Co. on risk management projects before joining full-time academics.  Jain is also a recipient of the prestigious European Union’s Marie Curie Fellowship for her research work on decision-making.

“It is an honor to receive this recognition,” said Jain. “It is my conviction that our generation of scholars has the responsibility to work selflessly towards creating a more productive, equitable, and ethical world around us. I hope to continue to contribute towards this goal with an interdisciplinary lens.”

Jain is also interested in the areas of negotiation and conflict management.  She has published research on topics including Uncertainty, Forecasting, & PredictionsEthics and Prosocial BehaviorCombining Judgments & Advice BehaviorTechnology & CrowdsourcingMedical Decision Making, and Genetic Profiles & Decision Making.  She also writes a column, Risk Factorfor the Financial Chronicle.

The Thinkers50 Radar recognizes the next generation of business gurus, a group which is becoming increasingly diverse.  This year’s list includes more women than men and a wide variety of nationalities including the Netherlands, South Africa, America, India, China, Norway, Canada, and the UK.

“The Radar list is keenly anticipated,” says Thinkers50 co-founder Des Dearlove. “It is an early warning system to alert managers about the people who are doing exciting and important work.”

Jain is the third IE Business School management thinker to be included on the Radar list. Professor Margarita Mayo, author of Yours Truly: Staying Authentic in Leadership and Life (Bloomsbury Publishing, 2018) was awarded the honor in 2017 and Professor Jose Esteves, coauthor of Value in a Digital World: How to Assess Business Models and Measure Value in a Digital World (Palgrave MacMillan, 2017) was awarded in 2016.
