The following professors received awards:

Gayle Allard won the award for the multimedia teaching material most valued by students in the 2010-11 academic year with the game Making Money on Oil. The game achieved an average score of 9.07 out of 10 from students who used it in their classes in the previous academic year. The network-based simulation is based around the petroleum futures market. Students put into practice their knowledge of supply and demand theory, competing amongst each other to achieve the highest profits. It includes the recreation of video-based news events which form the basis for decision-making, and requires students to apply newly acquired concepts.

Ángel del Castillo won the category of the most used material for the teaching note Market Research. In the 2010-11 academic year more than 2,000 IE students used this interactive material in their marketing classes. The teaching note assigns the student the role of product manager for a company in the soft drinks sector, making them responsible for a new product launch which involves applying market research techniques. IExperiments achieved the highest number of votes for the most innovative teaching material making its author, Lee Newman, the winner of this category. This year, voting for this particular category was extended to professors, students, alumni, IE managers and the rest of the IE Community, with hundreds of votes being placed from around the world. We would like to thank all those that participated. IExperiments is a questionnaire played in a network and used for the Behavioral Judgement and Decision Making course. Students answer multiple questions, after which the professor uses the class session to create a graphical analysis – generating models from the answers and discussing them with the group.
