When it comes to purpose, our aim is simple: to help you define, refine and align your unique sense of purpose with your goals, life and career. Finding meaning in what you do is a crucial way of enriching your career and gaining fulfillment from your work. However, drilling down into what that means to you and how to attain it is not so straightforward. In the International MBA, we’ll work with you at every stage of that process: to figure out how you define purpose and how you challenge yourself; to understand what pursuits give you a sense of meaning; to analyze if your current career path is aligned with your sense of purpose; and to determine how you can harness your business skills to make a difference in a way that matters to you.

HOW WILL I DISCOVER AND PURSUE MY PURPOSE IN THE PROGRAM?

At IE Business School, we define purpose as your unique sense of meaning and direction in life. And we know that pursuing your purpose can improve your life satisfaction, motivation, and overall wellbeing. Aligning your career goals with your sense of purpose can also help you make a positive impact in the world and contribute to a better future for all. It’s a win-win.

To help you discover and pursue your purpose, the International MBA offers a range of experiential learning activities and workshops. The program includes a Career Discovery Program designed to help you explore your interests and passions and to align your career goals with your sense of purpose. You will be able to hear from industry leaders and alumni who can provide insider perspectives on the careers that match your interests and values. At the same time, the program offers expertly designed workshops and group advising sessions to help you define, refine and align your purpose with your career goals.

What practical experiences are available throughout the program?

Thanks to our innovative methodology, case studies and teaching staff who are also practitioners, you will gain hands-on experience in every class in your International MBA. Additionally, you can take part in different immersive experiences, working alongside real companies and developing real-life solutions.

When do I have access to career services?

Throughout your International MBA, the IE Talent & Careers team will organize sessions to explain and give insights into the different services, resources and tools available during the program to help you reach your professional goals. This begins in the pre-program, about one month before classes begin on campus. You can also access the job platforms and meet with your Career Advisor after you graduate, indefinitely.

What % of people are entrepreneurs after the program?

In total, 65% of alumni who participated in either the Start-Up Lab, the Venture Lab, or both went on to be entrepreneurs.

Can I work in Spain after the program? Does IE Business School sponsor work visas? How easy is it to get a job in Spain?

Our graduates go on to work in high-impact careers across the world. In fact, 95% of our graduates receive job offers from companies worldwide within six months of graduation. Landing a role in Spain is not a guarantee after the program and is dependent on each individual case.
