The Economist ranks IE Business School best business school in the world for Executive MBA programs

IE Business School is the best business school in the world for Executive MBA programs according to the latest ranking drawn up by The Economist. The School climbed from the No. 2 position to No. 1 in the latest edition of the ranking, thereby consolidating IE Business School as one of the top schools worldwide for educating senior managers.

The ranking evaluated IE’s Global Executive MBA, an English-taught program with a marked focus on international management and innovation, aimed at executives with an international profile. The program combines face-to-face periods in Spain, Singapore, the US and Brazil, with online modules, and has a student body comprised of 25 nationalities, with an average of 15 years’ professional experience.

IE Business School has an extensive portfolio of Executive MBA programs run in onsite and blended formats, with Spanish and English versions. It includes the IE Brown Executive MBA  run jointly by IE and Ivy League member Brown University, renowned for its excellence in the field of humanistic, social, and scientific disciplines. The program is aimed at senior managers and combines online and onsite modules held at IE’s Madrid campus, Brown’s campus in Providence, and in Cape Town (South Africa).

"The success of IE's Global Executive MBA lies in its capacity to transform our students by equipping them with the management skills and knowledge they need to map a successful career in the corporate world,” said Ignacio Gafo, Vice Dean of IE Business School’s Global MBA and Executive MBA. "The program embodies the values that differentiate IE Business School - global students and a student body that is highly diverse, in terms of nationalities as well as in professional experience and background. All students undertake residential periods held in Spain, US, Singapore, and Brazil, coupled with online periods centered around experience-based learning, digital simulations, workshops and the case study method, which permits them to combine the program with their work. The program also offers a top-tier international faculty and a continuous innovation component whereby the curriculum is renewed each year to meet market demands.”

IE’s MBA and Executive MBA programs are recognized as being among the best in the world by international media like Financial Times (2015 Ranking of Online MBAs), QS Top MBA (2015 Ranking of Distance Online MBAs) and The Economist (2010 Ranking of Distance Learning Executive MBAs).

The ranking of Executive MBAs conducted by The Economist examines parameters like personal development, educational experience, and career development. It looks at criteria that include student profiles, levels of professional experience, diversity in the classroom, the quality of the program, its international focus, subsequent career profession, average salary increase of graduates, and networking potential.
