As from today IE Business School will be offering a new specialization in marketing on Coursera, world leader in open online education in fields like management and technology.

IE Business School, which is the only Spanish business school to offer specializations on Coursera, is extending its online education offerings on the platform, having first beguncollaborating with Coursera in 2013 with two programs on economic policies and critical analysis of management, which attracted over 120,000 enrolments by people from 198 countries.

The latest specialization will be taught in English, with a Spanish version set to follow in a few weeks. It will examine key aspects of the marketing mix and the skills needed for the successful implementation of marketing strategies. Participants, who to date are from 30 countries,will examine the 4Ps of the marketing mix by means of 4courses centered on Product (brand & product management), Pricing, Place (distribution channel strategy & retail) and Promotion (communication strategies, PR & advertising). At the end of the specialization, the practical approach of which permits rapid application of new knowledge to the market, students will present a final project based on a real firm in order to put theirmanagement skills into practice.
