Lina Lan Toon T-shirt wins the first edition of the ELLE Talent Project

Lina Lan Toon T-shirt collection was the winner of first edition of the Elle Talent project, collecting the €25,000 Prize and a scholarship worth €30,000 for the Master in Management at IE Business School.

The winning project was presented on Friday, March 28, in IE’s Area 31. The winning team had to defend their idea, alongside other finalists, before a panel of experts comprised by Benedetta Poletti (Director of ELLE), María Eugenia Girón (expert in the luxury industry), Kiron Ravindran (Associate Dean of the MiM), Ignacio Larru (business angel and IE mentor and professor), and Liz Fleming (Deputy Director of IE Venture Lab). The judges stated that it was not an easy task. “It was a complicated choice as all the entries were of a very high standard and were in high-potential fields, but what we wanted was that the prize would serve to really help the winning project take off,” said Maria Eugenia Girón.

Lina Lan Toon is a fun t-shirt brand that enables the customer to choose from among numerous T-shirt motif designs. The chosen design is then sent to the customer along with a pack containing the different threads the customer needs to sew their own customized cross-stitch motif on their T-shirt. Its founders, Pilar Morquillas and Inés de Ellacuría were delighted with the prize. “Thanks to this prize we can make our little dream real.”

Beautyfull, Inventive Hall and Set‐Your‐Look were the other three finalists in the first edition of the ELLE Talent Project, in which some 134 teams took part.
