The Master in Digital Marketing is taught by industry experts and designed to bring today’s digital marketing challenges to the classroom.
The program will start with a Common Core Period in which you will study common courses alongside master’s students from our other Marketing, Communication & Sales programs.
This period gives you the opportunity to network with like-minded game-changers, and to discover if this program is the perfect fit for your career goals. If you are interested in pivoting paths, there are options to do so, subject to a conversation with your advisor and availability.
Over three terms, you’ll gain insights and valuable skills in these key areas throughout the program: Strategic Marketing, Digital Marketing Tools, and Practical Hands-on Labs.

This program will offer the use and practice of multiple key tools of common use in marketing departments and agencies, like AWS, BigML, Google, Hubspot, Salesforce, Tableau, amongst others. Students will have to pass Google Analytics IQ Certification as a Digital Analytics exercise.

International Experiences
International Experiences
Broaden your perspective on international business markets and marketing, communication & sales career trends as part of several optional international experiences: our Global Immersion Week or our Social Impact Week. Previous editions have taken our students to London and Ghana, as well as other destinations such as Amsterdam and South Africa.
International experiences such as the Global Immersion Week and Social Impact Week are optional opportunities with limited capacity. Selection criteria may include academic standing, such as a student’s GPA.
Students are responsible for their own travel and housing costs.
Global Immersion Week
The MARCOM Global Immersion Week (GIW) allows students to network with companies, explore new cultures and gain new career insights. Our goal is to offer you a one-week international experience and show you firsthand the main career outcomes that you can find today within other relevant international business markets. Previous years’ agendas have included in-company visits to Google, Ipsos, Amazon, Diageo and the Financial Times, among others.
Social Impact Week
Our goal is to nurture the next generation of purpose-driven business professionals who possess a deep sense of responsibility to the planet and society. Our Social Impact Week is a one-week trip in which you will visit local companies within the fields of marketing, communication & sales. There, you will develop a project for a client that is focused on social impact, entrepreneurship and the MARCOM sector. It is the perfect opportunity to network, gain global knowledge and have a positive impact on society.

Once a month, students will have the chance to hear from top speakers from different companies in the marketing, communication and sales industry. In the past, speakers have represented such leading companies as Kantar, McKinsey & Company, Interbrand and Fjord, to name a few.

Choosing the right program for you can be difficult. We’re here to guide you in your Marketing, Communication & Sales career journey from the start. All our full-time programs begin with a two-month Common Core Period, designed to give you the key foundations to succeed in this career path.
However, if after starting the program and completing this Common Core Period you are interested in changing to another Marketing, Communication & Sales program, you may switch programs after having a meeting with the Academic Program Direction team to validate this change and understand how it may affect your future career. Please be aware that program changes are dependent on availability.

WHAT IS THE COMMON CORE PERIOD?
The Common Core Period is a two-month experience over September and October in which you will share courses with other Marketing, Communication & Sales programs to build foundational skills and expand your network.
HOW IS THE STUDY PLAN FOR THE MASTER IN DIGITAL MARKETING STRUCTURED?
The study program takes place over 10 months. The program is structured as follows:
- Pre-Program: Excel Tools for Marketing
- Common Core Period (Sept–Oct)
- 3 Terms (Nov–Dec, Jan–Mar, Apr–Jul)
- Final Projects at the end of each term
- Optional Career Track after graduation

HOW DOES THE MASTER IN DIGITAL MARKETING EMPOWER STUDENTS TO STUDY AND USE AI?
You’ll move beyond executing campaigns to designing AI-driven marketing systems. The program covers AI-powered content ecosystems, performance strategy and marketing automation platforms. You’ll learn to build scalable digital growth systems, manage AI tools for optimization and interpret analytics dashboards, equipping you to lead data-driven marketing decisions rather than simply run campaigns.
ARE THERE PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS?
Yes, optional certifications include the IE Digital Analytics Certificate: Google Analytics 4 and the IE-Salesforce Certificate, plus IE University’s own certificates in Sustainability and Generative AI for Business Professionals. Upon completing the Salesforce path, you will be connected to the Salesforce job bank of certified professionals.

These are optional industry-focused career tracks available as an additional term on completion of the program, and run September through December with limited spots and an additional fee. They include practical consulting projects, in-company visits and targeted recruiting support.

CAN I CHANGE TO ANOTHER MARCOM MASTER AFTER STARTING?
