In our virtual campus, you’ll take part in asynchronous online forums and live interactive video classes. This takes place across three residential periods on campus in Madrid. The first two residential weeks kick off the program, with one more week taking place at the start of the second period, and the last coming just in time for graduation.

Residential Weeks
These three compulsory periods take place from Monday to Friday on our Madrid campus. The first two weeks are at the start, then there’s one more at the start of the second period, where our students will travel to Frankfurt and attend class at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management campus. The last residential week brings an end to the program, culminating with the graduation ceremony.
This face-to-face component of the program offers the perfect opportunity to forge lasting friendships with your professors and other participants in a dynamic classroom setting.
Distance Learning Modules
The two distance learning modules correspond to two separate periods between the face-to-face residential weeks. With video live interactive conferences on Saturdays, and weekly asynchronous discussion boards for open participation from Mondays to Thursdays, you will benefit from our holistic approach to world-class education wherever you are.

Once the face-to-face period is over, you will take part in the first distant learning period. The second period kicks off with a second face-to-face short exchange in Frankfurt. Then you will explore the essentials of Banking Foundations while also taking part in the highly practical Employability in Finance module to enhance your professional career development. After the week is over, you will dive into Fintech and Blockchain, learning the basics of Blockchain tech, including distribution, encryption, consensus and privacy. Through real- world projects and investment cases, you will gain a deeper understanding of how financial institutions can benefit from these innovations, which can be seen in settlements & payments, securities services, post- trade management and trade finance, among others.

Our Trading Room is an investment lab equipped with Bloomberg terminals, Thomson Eikon, Factset, MATLAB and other resources, that has one of the top collection of analytical tools of any university investment lab in the world. Collectively, this software may have an annual dollar value of over $1,000,000.
At the IE Trading Lab you will have access to resources ranging from financial, market, business news, economic, security pricing, brokerage research, portfolio risk and performance analytics, and various analytics features to analyze securities including, but not limited to, stocks, bonds, commodities, options and futures, and currencies. Immersed in one of the world’s top financial centers, you will have the opportunity to visit leading companies and take a tour of the New York Stock Exchange. As part of the network-expanding experience, you will meet major financial players, such as analysts, portfolio managers, directors of research, traders and strategists.
The optional trip to the heart of London’s financial district gives students the chance to discover how internationally renowned financial companies are run. This will be done through visits to institutional investment management organizations, brokerage firms, professional financial advisory companies and firms in other areas. In addition, students will further increase their investment knowledge and expand their international network by meeting one-on-one with eight to ten industry professionals, including analysts, portfolio managers, directors of research, and strategists.
