Portugal Bachelor in Communication '16 My word for IE University: Broad

Before I started at IE University I lived and studied in Portugal at an International School and I always had a strong inclination towards the Arts, writing and voluntary work. I was always involved in many activities; I did concerts with my band, I took part in every musical at school and I was involved in several voluntary activities one of which involved going to Mozambique to help at an orphanage.

I chose to study Communication at IE University because of the richness of the course. Not only does it give us an incredible cultural knowledge in the first year, in terms of language, media, history and a globalized perspective, it also gives us the tools to find out what we really want to do as communicators. In my case, I want to become a Journalist/Writer or work as a producer. But the course is so broad that I will have time to change my mind if I want and choose the path I really want to take. IE University is a very international community, like the one I had studying at school, so I felt very comfortable with the university’s morals and values. I was especially attracted to the ultimate goal of entrepreneurship.

So far I am really enjoying my time here; I like my classes and my teachers. I never thought that I would learn so much so quickly and I believe that with the tools that I am being offered, I will certainly achieve my goals!
