Luis Álvarez started his professional career collaborating with two emblematic practices: Allison & Peter Smithson architects in London and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in Chicago. In 2005 he founded ABM Arquitectosin Madrid, an office where he develops all kind of jobs for public and private clients in the fields of architecture, urban planning and interior design. In 2009 founded the art and plastic expression space called ABM (arte), a place where different artistic expressions and independent artist works are shown. He has been invited as guest critic at the Architectural Association Londonand IIT Chicago. As a researcher he has collaborated in several research projects in the field of construction technology and systems. He has lectured at the I National Congress in Building Research. At present he is finalizing his doctoral thesis on high performance concrete. He teaches at IE University since 2006.
