PERSONALIZATION

IE University takes an applied, hands-on and student-centered approach to education. With small class sizes, students have daily interaction with their professors. Professors and staff know all of our students by name and the activities on campus focus on the interests and needs of the students.

Advisors: At the center of the educational experience at IE University is the student advisor. Advisors guide students in a personalized way throughout their university years to ensure that students achieve their academic and professional goals.

A personalized Study path: Because our students have unique aspirations and career goals, their study path is also personalized. Every program allows students the flexibility to build a unique academic track by adding to their core degree an area of concentration, complimentary courses, seminars, and projects, the sum of which is a well-balanced, tailor-made degree program.With the guidance of their Advisors who provide focus and consistency, students build a personalized academic track that consists of the core degree courses, a concentration or electives, specific internships, as well as advanced seminars and a final degree project based on their area of study.

INTEGRATION OF KNOWLEDGE

The IE Module: The IE Module consists of a set of four foundational subjects which are taken by all undergraduate students and consists of courses in Humanities, Business Management, Ethics, and Interpersonal Skills. Courses in the IE Module provide a well-rounded education, essential soft skills and a humanistic outlook, in an environment which allows students from many disciplines to interact and gain new perspectives from their peers.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP

IE University has been rooted in an entrepreneurial spirit from its inception and continually strives to empower its students with an entrepreneurial outlook and develop the capacities which enable them to pursue new projects and initiatives that make a difference in society.

Many of our students express the desire to learn how to launch their own business or projects and during their time at IE University many begin. Each of the degree programs at IE University has a strong focus on cultivating students’ entrepreneurial skills, which includes the basic know-how from business and management classes and seminars, a Humanistic education that allow students to view the world from new perspectives, and the resources through the Start Up Labs and IE Labs.
